Pope’s Pond Reservoir, also known as Streets Pond, is located off Nod Hill Road in Wilton. It was built in 1890 and has a capacity of 318 million gallons. Water from the reservoir flows through the Middlebrook Diversion Line, a 24" concrete water main, which runs into the north end of City Lake. Normally Pope’s Pond is used from June until October, when demand increases. There are no pumps used at Pope’s Pond all water flows by gravity out of the reservoir.
