Rock Lake, put into service November 2, 1875, was one of the first two reservoirs to serve the Second District. The second being Crystal Lake which is no longer used. Located off of Old Huckleberry Road, Rock Lake holds 103 million gallons of water, which flows into City Lake through a natural streambed. Rock Lake is not used year round; it is normally put to use in June up until October.
